1998 Conferences

The 2nd Elliptic Curve Cryptography Workshop (ECC '98)

University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
September 14, 15 & 16, 1998
Third & Final Announcement: August 14, 1998

The main focus of this workshop will be elliptic curve cryptography, including the elliptic curve discrete logarithm problem, efficient parameter generation, efficient software and hardware implementations, and discrete log-based protocols. Related topics that will be covered include the discrete logarithm and Diffie-Hellman problems, and hyperelliptic curve cryptosystems.

It is hoped that the meeting will encourage and stimulate further research on the security and implementation of elliptic curve cryptosystems and related areas, and encourage collaboration between academic, industry, and government sectors.

There will be 16 invited lectures (and no contributed talks), with the remaining time used for informal discussions.
