1999 Conferences

2nd CACR Information Security Workshop

Speaker
Janelle Edgar, Diversinet

Title
Digital Certificates for Restricted Space Devices

Abstract
Janelle will address challenges of putting digital certificates in restricted space devices such as wireless and smart card. Deployers of these devices are concerned about minimizing the space allocated to the certificate in order to implement multiple applications at a reasonable cost, while still providing strong security. The Diversinet solution to these challenges, as well as how to flexibly handle designation of roles and authorities, will also be covered.
