Title
Biometrics and Security

Abstract
This paper will review the use of biometrics within a security context. The complementary roles of biometrics and cryptography will be discussed, and how their combination can be used to facilitate the integration of biometrics with existing security architectures such as PKI and smart cards. Also, some applications of biometrics, such as secure travel documents for expedited travelers, will be discussed.
