Efficient Public Key Certificate Systems for Mobile Electronic Business

Abstract
This talk will describe the concepts and purpose behind the ANSI X9.68 efficient certificate work. Motivations, architectural model, certificate structure, and examples of size reductions compared to X509v3 certificates will be presented.

Speaker Bio
Robert L. Geiger is a Lead Engineer at Motorola Labs, where he works on efficient public-key infrastrucure, security and electronic business applications. His past work includes development of elcetromagnateic modeling software for supercomputers, Internet mobile networking protocols and implementations, and cryptographic software development.

Mr. Geiger received his BSEE from the State University of New York and his MSEE from the University of Illinois, Urbana.
