The Fifth CACR Information Security Workshop will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2000 at the Fields Institute, Toronto, Ontario. This workshop will focus on wireless e-business: security and applications and cover topics such as:

  • Challenges (constraints) and opportunities of developing and deploying secure applications for the wireless and mobile environment;
  • Overview of protocols and mechanisms which enable secure transactions to be performed from the wireless device through to the desired Internet sites;
  • Exploration of Wireless Public-Key Infrastructure initiatives and how new and existing PKI technologies are being utilized to meet the needs of the unique and constrained environment of mobile appliances;
  • Overview of mobile appliance offerings and services;
  • Overview of secure financial and e-business wireless applications.
With the next wave in computing driven by secure wireless access to data and applications, this is a workshop that you will not wish to miss.
